around the farm

Our fall crops are coming in great...beets, carrots, chinese cabbage, spinach, lettuce, herbs and our winter squash is ready early (and delish!)
Our pullets are in with the layers (and hopefully will be laying soon),
our cover crops are coming up,
10 new piglets born early Monday morning,
 lots of happy barncats
and farmboys,
and I snuck in a baby bump picture (or at least a reflection)--20 weeks this weekend.

What's going on around your farm, garden or homestead?

  3. Love your little naked on in the garden, too cute. And love seeing your baby belly, even if just a reflection. Hope you are feeling well.

  4. Yum,love butternut squash! I've seen it at the store, but haven't felt right about buying it since our temperatures are still in the upper 90s. Not sure if it will ever feel like squash weather here though...

    1. Wow, it would be hard to buy squash when it's still so hot! People were reluctant here when we had it at market in late August--not ready for fall yet! :)
